Man sentenced to prison

A 25-year-old Shady Spring man who stole a high-powered rifle from a Raleigh County residence last year was sentenced Tuesday to four years and nine months in federal prison.

Cameron Martin Taylor pleaded guilty in September 2013 to stealing an AR-50, a .50 BMG-caliber, single-shot bolt-action rifle, from a residence near White Oak on April 24, 2013.   

The investigation was conducted by the West Virginia State Police. U.S. District Judge Irene C. Berger delivered Taylor’s sentence and Assistant. U.S. Attorney John File handled the prosecution.
