Birch River fight leaves one dead, three in jail

— An alleged fight in Nicholas County early Tuesday morning left one person dead and landed three others in jail.

Kristopher James Love, 26, of Birch River, is charged with murder, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Michelle Stull, 30, of Summersville, and Michael Shane Wood, 24, of Birch River, are charged with accessory after the fact.

Just after midnight, officers were sent to investigate a fight in Birch River. When they got to the scene, they found James Lewis Frame, 39, or Birch River, lying on the ground, unresponsive.

Frame was taken to Summersville Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Love had originally fled, but was caught Tuesday just before noon, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing and other arrests are pending, the release said.
