Two arrested for allegedly beating of elderly man

Two Raleigh County men are charged with malicious wounding and conspiracy to commit a felony after allegedly beating an 89-year-old Beckley man.

On March 14, Bryan Bolt, 27, and Jason Wickline, 34, allegedly caused several injuries to Eugene Hilbert, who was transported to an area hospital, according to the criminal complaint. Hilbert had a cut over his eye, a bloody right eye, a busted lip and a possible broken nose. The criminal complaints against Bolt and Wickline say that the two punched Hilbert in the face and stomped his chest.

Both Bolt and Wickline are being held in the Southern Regional Jail on $100,000 cash or recognizance bonds. A probable cause hearing has been scheduled for March 25.

The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department is the investigating agency. Numerous attempts to reach the sheriff’s department Friday for official comment were not returned.
