Three sentenced in circuit court

Three men were sentenced by Raleigh County Circuit Court Judge Robert A. Burnside Thursday.

Jeremy Wade Tolliver, 34, of Beckley, pleaded guilty to attempt to commit a felony.

Tolliver was sentenced to one to three years, but Burnside suspended that sentence while he serves 18 months’ probation.

Michael Lee Morrison, 29, of Webster County, pleaded guilty to escaping from a Division of Corrections facility.

Raleigh County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Andy Dimlich said Morrison was at the Beckley Correctional Center and he did not return from his work release.

Burnside sentenced Morrison to one year, which will run consecutively to an already imposed one to 10 years he was serving during the time of the escape.

Dimlich said Chad Dale Lovelace, 27, of Fayette County, served approximately one year at the federal penitentiary, and pleaded guilty to grand larceny Thursday.

His sentence of one to 10 years was suspended while he serves three years probation.
