One man dies following Memorial Day altercation

Deputies are investigating the death of a man who was involved in a Memorial Day weekend altercation with a neighbor, according to a Monday press release from the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeffrey Bair, 43, of Bowyer Burn Road, died after several days at Charleston Area Medical Center following a fight with a neighbor, according to police.

Police stated that Bair “suffered severe injuries during or after that altercation.”

Police did not release the name of the neighbor Monday.
