Police find heroin during hit and run investigation

A Hinton man is behind bars after officers with the Princeton Police Department discovered $15,000 worth of heroin and $14,000 after responding to a hit and run on Mercer Street in Princeton.

Shawn Gillespie, 24, was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to Police Chief J.W. Howell, Gillespie is being held on a $50,000 bond at the Southern Regional Jail.
