Raleigh judge hands down three sentences

BECKLEY — Three individuals were sentenced by Raleigh County Circuit Court Judge H.L. Kirkpatrick Thursday.

James Edward Cook, 33, of Arnett, pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and leaving the scene of an accident with death.

Cook was sentenced to one to five years for both of charges, to run consecutively.

Brenda Gay Williams-Bradley, 44, of Beaver, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and to fraud with an access device.

She was sentenced to one to 10 years for the grand larceny charges and a flat term of three years for fraud, to run concurrently.

Larry Hoskins, 60, of Beckley, pleaded guilty to failure to provide registration changes as a sex offender, as well as a second DUI offense.

Hoskins was sentenced to one to five years for failing to register, and one year for his second DUI offense, to run concurrently.

Raleigh County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Andy Dimlich handled the prosecution.
