Motorcylist killed in head-on collision

HINTON — One man is dead after an accident near Hinton on April 1, according to State Police officials.

Corey Carr, 24, of Talcott, was driving his motorcycle and hit a truck head-on in the westbound lane of Route 3. He was thrown from his motorcycle into the eastbound lane and another car hit him when he landed in the other lane, police said.

The state trooper who responded said Carr was declared dead at the scene.

“I’ve got one more statement to take, but preliminarily, it looks like he was passing a vehicle in a blind turn,” Sgt. T.L. Bragg said.
