Volunteer firefighters battle two brush fires

— Crews from the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department responded to two brush fires Sunday afternoon, according to a supervisor with the Raleigh County Emergency Operations Center.
The first fire was reported just before 2 p.m. on Fire Trail Drive in Daniels and the second blaze was reported at about 5:20 p.m. on Plumley Mountain Road in Bragg.
The fires were contained but no further information was available Sunday night.
