The second suspect wanted for allegedly stealing $15,000 in metal from a mine equipment company has been caught, State Police said.
Robert Randall Meade II, 29, of Stanaford, was arrested Friday, Senior Trooper G.D. Williams said. Meade was released on bond.
Meade and Michael Robert Humphrey, 23, of Piney View, were charged with grand larceny by Beckley police, according to Detective Sgt. David Allard. Humphrey was taken into custody Wednesday and remained at Southern Regional Jail Friday on $25,000 bond.
Allard said Humphrey and Meade took $15,000 in steel and cast iron from Universal Coal Filters on Stanaford Road in late June or early July. The suspects then took the metal to a Mabscott recycling center, where it was cashed in for a few hundred dollars.
The two were identified after Allard tracked down receipts from the recycling center.
