A Mullens man was arrested Friday in connection with a Thursday night incident on Guyandotte Avenue.
Franklin M. Nutter, 49, was charged with unlawful wounding, according to Mullens Police Chief Ray Toler.
Two people were transported to the hospital as a result of the fight. One told officers he was trying to break up the altercation and was stabbed by Nutter. The second person refused to press charges, according to Toler.
Nutter’s bond was set at $5,000 and he was transported to Southern Regional Jail, Toler said.
Toler, along with Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies Scott Cook and Kenny Wallen, responded to the incident. Sheriff’s Sgt. Teddy Riffe also assisted.
The investigation is continuing.
