Robbery suspects arrested in D.C.

— Two suspects in a June 12 shooting and robbery at Willbrian Apartments have been arrested in the nation’s capital, Beckley Police said.
Tavares Bradley, 19, and Nastassia Law, 24, both of Beckley, were arrested Saturday in the Washington, D.C., metro area, said Capt. Jeff Shumate, chief of detectives for the Beckley Police Department. An arraignment is pending for both, and whether or not they will waive extradition has yet to be determined.
Shumate said someone who personally knew Law and was familiar with the incident saw Law boarding a bus in the D.C. area. This person then contacted local law enforcement.
Bradley and Law’s younger brother, 18-year-old Beckley resident Ryan Guerrant, are both charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, wanton endangerment and malicious wounding, according to previous information from Beckley P.D. Law, Bradley’s girlfriend, is charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Guerrant has been held in lieu of $250,000 bond at Southern Regional Jail since June 12.
Around 3 a.m. June 12, Bradley, Law and Guerrant went to Willbrian Apartments on Ewart Avenue, Detective Cpl. Jamie Blume said, intending to commit a drug-related robbery. Law drove the men to Willbrian while Bradley — armed with an assault rifle — and Guerrant, unarmed, waited outside a 27-year-old man’s apartment.
Law called the resident and asked him to come outside, Blume said. The man was then robbed at gunpoint.
The victim ran back inside his apartment, and Bradley fired three shots inside, Blume said. One round struck the victim.
Police recovered both crack cocaine and marijuana at the scene, Blume said.
