A Raleigh County man was killed Wednesday night after a motorcycle and pickup truck collided in Glen Morgan, authorities said.
James Sherwood, 60, of Glen Morgan, died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to Chief Deputy Steve Tanner of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department.
Around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sherwood was driving a motorcycle on Ritter Drive (U.S. 19) and attempted to turn left onto a parking lot, Tanner said. Sherwood turned in front of a pickup truck, which struck him.
Sherwood was taken to a local hospital, where he died, Tanner said.
The pickup’s driver was not injured and was found not to be at fault, Tanner said. The driver’s name was being withheld.
Deputy J.B. Grose handled the investigation.
