Paints end Miners' streak at 10

From Staff Reports

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The West Virginia Miners committed four errors, two leading to a pair of unearned runs, and lost 2-0 to the Chillicothe Paints Saturday night. The loss ended the Miners’ winning streak at 10.

Stuart Eisler singled and took second base on an error, then Justin Wagler was hit by a pitch to start the bottom of the first. West Virginia starter Evin Einhardt struck out Daniel Zuchowski and Giancarlo Brugnoni, but walked Nick Lombardi to load the bases.

James Miglin then reached on an error and Eisler scored to put the Paints up 1-0. Wagler then scored on a single by Jossue Delgado.

Meanwhile, Chillicothe starter Steve Laudicina shut the West Virginia offense down. He struck out four and didn’t walk a batter while allowing just four hits in the complete-game win.
