LORAIN, OHIO —
Brad Raley and Matt Ellenbest combined on a one-hit shutout to lead the Lorain County Ironmen past the West Virginia Miners 4-0 Friday.
Raley picked up the win, going seven and two-thirds innings, and striking out eight Miners.
Tyler Bires led the Ironmen from the dish with three hits, including a triple and an RBI.
Kenny May had the lone single for the Miners.
The Miners loss drops their lead back to four games in the Eastern Division of the Prospect League race as second place Butler defeated Richmond Friday.
West Virginia returns home to face the second place Blue Sox in a key two-game series tonight at Linda K. Epling Stadium. First pitch will be 7:05 p.m., and it will be Family Coin Laundry night at the ball park.
