Three West Virginia Miners homered as part of a 16-hit attack in a 10-2 win over the Lorain County Ironmen.
Zach Woolcock, Robert Tavone Jr. and Cameron Balough all hit home runs for the Miners (13-12), who had lost three of their previous four games and were hitting .222 in their last six. Woolcock and Nick Paxton were both 2-for-4 and drove in three runs, and Griffin Moore had three hits.
Tavone Jr. was 2-for-4, as was Kaeo Aliviado.
Pat Kregeloh (1-1) was the winning pitcher, striking out seven and walking two over six innings. He allowed two earned runs and six hits.
James Woods pitched two scoreless innings of relief and Evin Einhardt had a pair of strikeouts in a perfect ninth. The right-hander from Cumberland University was making his Miners debut.
Derek Sprout and Ray Carrion each drove in a run for Lorain (10-15).
The teams will meet again at 7:05 p.m. today on Little League Night. Any coach or player wearing a Little League jersey will be admitted for free.

Derby Dames begin new season Saturday
The Beckley Area Derby Dames will kick off their third season Saturday against Five 40 Rollergirls from Fredericksburg, Va.
The Dames will lace up their skates at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center and the doors will open at 6 p.m.
The whistle will blow at 7 p.m. and the live roller derby action will begin.
