Kathie Gene Bailey, 59, departed this life Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at her daughter’s home in Utah following a courageous battle with cancer.

A celebration of Kathie’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Oceana United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the funeral home.

Pauline Meadows Ballard

Pauline Meadows Ballard, 93, of Beaver, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012.  

Born March 20, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Henry Beecher and Mary Lilly Meadows.

Pauline loved cooking and needlepoint work. Her life revolved around her family.

In addition to her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Forest B. Ballard; two daughters, Alice Wills and Sandra Corey; one grandson, Jonathan Rupe; six sisters, Muriel, Macie, Maude, Mamie, Opal and Maddie; five brothers, Darrh, Doan, Finley, David and Donald.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Elizabeth Rupe of Flat Top; brother, Henry Beecher Meadows Jr. and wife Erma of Jumping Branch; grandsons, David O’Neal of Springfield, Va., Arthur Wills III of Beckley; granddaughters, Christina Rupe of Bradley, Sarah Rupe of California, Md.; great-granddaughter, Mary Wills of Beckley; great-grandson, Christopher Rupe of Bradley.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley with Pastor Rick Martin and Pastor Walt Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Drew Zinchiak, David O’Neal, Arthur Wills, J.E. Meadows, Rick Newsome and Christopher Rupe will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may gather with the family Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Juanita Carothers

HOPEWELL, Va. — Juanita June “Nita” Carothers, 63, formerly of Beckley, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, in Hopewell.  

Juanita was born on March 27, 1949, to the late Powell and Helen Bledsoe Allen.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Daniel, Robert and Johnny Allen; and a great-grandson, Marquez Pankey.  

She is survived by her three children, daughter, Michelle Charlotte and her husband, Preston Jr. of Hopewell; sons, Russell Carothers Jr. and his wife, Meredith of Oxford, Ala., and Michael Carothers of Chesterfield, Va.; two sisters, Bertha Myers and her husband, Johnnie of Thomasville, N.C., and Diana “Sissie” Altizer and her husband, George Sr. of Jesse; five granddaughters, Ashley Richardson of Hopewell, Miranda Carothers of Oxford, Ala., Alexis Charlotte of Hopewell, Destanie Carothers of Richmond, Va., and Ember Carothers of Oxford, Ala.; four grandsons, Stephen Richardson of Hopewell, Robert and Elliott Carothers of Oxford, Ala., and Caleb Carothers of Richmond, Va.; four great-granddaughters, Ahjahne, Selena and Allanah Turley of Hopewell, and Adriaunna Richardson of Colonial Heights, Va.; and a host of nieces and nephews.  

Juanita is also remembered by her dedicated friends, Lience Combs, Wanda Lucas, and Rosie Schoolcraft.

Wanda John Cooper

PINEVILLE — Wanda John Cooper, 95, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, following a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family, at the home of her daughter, Debra Dalton.

Born March 25, 1917 in Baileysville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Gore and Lettie Shields Brooks.

Wanda was a member of Rockcastle Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed helping her daughter at Lackey’s Ashland Marathon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estill C. Cooper; a son, Michael Joe Cooper; two stepsons, Merill T. Cooper and Ronald Lee Cooper; one stepdaughter, Loveda McGuire; one sister, Hilda McClellan; and one brother, Doris K. Shields.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Katherine “Kat” Brown of Fairdale and Debra Dalton and husband, Bobby, of Pineville; seven grandchildren, Wesley J. Brown Jr., Pamela E. Allard, Jere Lee Brown, Michael (Zac) Cooper, Jon Caleb Cooper, Katie Jo Cooper and Michelle Lackey King; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Rockcastle Baptist Church, with the Rev. Evan Arkell and the Rev. Donald “Doc” Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.

Wesley J. Brown, Jr., Jere Brown, Zac Cooper, Caleb Cooper, Al Allard and Matthew King will serve as pallbearers.

A special thank you to her loving granddaughter, Michelle Lackey King for all the help that she gave her mother, Debra Dalton, in caring for her grandmother.

William Howard Donald, 76, of Beckley, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012.

Dewey R. Farley

Dewey R. Farley went to be with the Lord on Dec. 22, 2012, at Raleigh General Hospital following a short illness. He was 69 years old.

Dewey Raymond Farley was born in Cool Ridge Jan. 16, 1943, to the late Laten Waldo Farley and Eva G. Crawford Farley. He was also preceded in death by his infant son, Teddy.

Dewey was a graduate of Shady Spring High School in 1961 and Raleigh County Vo-Tech Center. He was a machinist for Western Electric and AT&T for 30 years and was a member of Communication Workers of America. Dewey resided in Richmond, Va. from 1965 to 1998.

Dewey served in the National Guard during the Bay of Pigs.

Dewey was a member of the Open Door Church of Shady Spring for whom he dearly loved; he loved to volunteer at the Hands of Hope community clothes closet. Dewey was a gentle man with a heart of gold.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Rita of nine years, his daughter Tracy Farley Thompson of Cool Ridge, stepdaughters Amy Richardson of Sophia, Jamie Basham of Daniels; grandchildren, Hannah Marie Crump and Lane Ragland; sisters, Nina Marie Frye of Cool Ridge, Shirley Ann (Blaine) Clay of Salisbury, N.C.; niece Angie (Kevin) Keaton and one great-niece Emma Mae Keaton.

He also leaves behind a host of friends and his cherished church family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Dec. 28 in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Don Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Cemetery in Cool Ridge.

Dewey’s family will receive friends  at the mortuary on Dec. 28 from noon until the time of service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers with Blaine Clay as honorary pallbearer.

NARROWS, Va. — Randall Wolford Fletcher, 61, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg, Va.

Betty Jo Clark Gavin

Betty Jo Clark Gavin, 80, of Beckley, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Raleigh General Hospital.

Born February 19, 1932 in Beckley, she was the daughter of Marie Parks, of Beckley, and the late Ulysses Price.

Mrs. Gavin was a member of Welcome Baptist Church, Beckley, where she served as an usher.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Elloyd Price and Robert Parks; sister, Rosetta Curry and daughter, Brenda Kennedy.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are her mother, Marie Parks of Mt. Hope; children, Norvil Clark of Summersville; Robert Clark of Nevada; Johnny Gavin and Matthew (April) Gavin, both of Beckley; grandson, Raushan McDougald, brother, Linzie Miller of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Ruth Price of Beckley, Gaynell Jackson and Charlene Price both of Cleveland, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Welcome Baptist Church, 206 8th Street, Beckley, with Rev. David Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Irene Drennen Harrah

Irene Drennen Harrah, 91, of Stanaford, went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday Dec. 22, 2012, at her residence following a long illness.

Born April 19, 1921 in Hamlet, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mamie Redden Martin.

Irene was a loving mother and grandmother, and dearly loved her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Camden Leo Drennen, and her second husband, Harry Harrah; her daughter, Doris Winston; and three grandchildren John and David Winston, and Elmer Drennen Jr.; seven brothers and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her five children, Lawrence Drennen and his wife Deloris, Denver Drennen and his wife Sandra, Elmer Drennen and his wife Mae, Linda Smith, and Vicki Cohen; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; her sister Drema Morrison; her brother Robert Martin; her son-in-law James Winston and a host of nieces and nephews and dearly loved friends.

Services celebrating Irene’s life will be Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Harrah officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Carl Herron

Our precious father and hero, Carl Herron, of Country Road Estates, Shady Spring, W.Va., formerly of Eccles, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at home due to a short illness. Carl was born on July 30, 1927, in Eccles to the late Mack and Ella Brewer Herron.

He was preceded in death by his precious wife of nearly 60 years, Sylvia Dickens Herron on November 18, 2005, and his oldest son, Roger Lee, preceded him in death on November 23, 2010. Also preceding him in death two sisters, Ruth Harvey and Geneva Herron; five brothers Grover, Hubert, Raymond, Kenneth; and an infant brother Elmer.

Carl loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, NY Yankees, NASCAR, knife collecting and coal mining. He spent nearly 42 years in the mines, having last worked for Westmoreland’s Eccles #5 and #6. He was given the name Big Chew and it fondly followed him through the years. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball, coaching and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed flea marketing and he never met a stranger. Carl was so proud of his family and their accomplishments. He loved to mine coal with the “miners” in the family.

He leaves behind three daughters and one son, Patricia Pena of Fayetteville, James Herron and wife Linda of Eccles, Sharon Smith and her husband Jimmy of Shady Spring and Teresa Webb and her husband Kevin of Glen Daniel. His daughter-in-law, Dreama Herron of Riverside, Ohio. Carl loved his daughter-in-law and sons-in-laws as if they were his own children. Eleven grandchildren, Michael Herron, Tami McGraw, Sean Pena, Kellie Stafford and her husband Jason, Eric Herron and his wife Tracey, Laura Bilbrey, Debbie Covey and her husband Bryant, Jamie Rhyan and her husband Dustin, Jimmy Smith and his wife Detra, Amanda Fraley and her husband Adam and Kevin Carl Webb and wife Erika. Fifteen great-grandchildren and the 16th arriving in June, and one great-great-grandchild. One brother, Buddy and his wife Ruth of Columbus, Ohio, Also left behind are several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at Melton Mortuary Chapel with Bro. Delmas Cox officiating on Thursday, December 27 at 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest beside of the beloved wife at Sunset Memorial Park.

The family wishes to thank Mary Collins for the love and compassionate care that she provided to our dear father. We also wish to thank the Angels from Hospice.

James “Reggie” Howard

ST. ALBANS — James “Reggie” Howard, 52, formerly of Minden, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, following a short illness.

Virgil Jarrell

Virgil Darrell Jarrell, 72, of Sylvester went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 24, 2012, at CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston, after a long illness.

He was born July 14, 1940, at Horse Creek, a son of the late Sidney J. and Bertie Rae Miller Jarrell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Wills, Lora Lyons, Linda Peters; brothers, James Marshall, Curtis N., Lemmie, William J. Jess Scott and Sidney Jarrell Jr.

He was retired from Bell Atlantic with 30 years of service, five years with Tele-Media Cable Co., 14 years as owner and operator of Carrie’s Country Corner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served his country during Vietnam. He served 19 years as mayor of Sylvester and multiple terms on the council and one of The Founders of the Sylvester Dog Patch Reunion serving as Mr. Dog Patch in 2003. He coached Whitesville Pee Wee Football for seven years. He served as Sunday School Teacher and Trustee Sylvester Baptist Church. He was a dedicated family man, loved children and a was familiar face to the public.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carrie Lou Platt Jarrell; a son, Leslie Jarrell of Whitesville; a daughter, Christel Platt at home; grandchildren, Samuel Jarrell of Staunton, Va., Parker, Trenton and Sophia Platt of Sylvester; sisters, Anna “Roy” Jarrell of Saxon and Beulah Jarrell of Dry Creek, sister-in-laws, Carol Jarrell of Wayne, and Linda Weatherspoon of Florida; brother-in-law, Jerry Peters of Horse Creek and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Sylvester Baptist Church in Sylvester with Pastor David Minturn officiating.

Interment will be at Pineview Cemetery Mausoleum in Orgas, with military graveside rites by VFW Post #5578, of Madison.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.

SUMMERSVILLE — Vina Belle Keiffer, 56, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Kanawha Hospice Care, Charleston.

Philip Gary “Spanky” Lipscomb

HINTON — Philip Gary “Spanky” Lipscomb, 77, of New River Road, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday Dec. 25, 2012, at his home following a long illness.

Born September 15, 1935, at Hinton he was a son of the late Eugene L. “Shady” and Sadie M. Davis Lipscomb.

Spanky was a lifelong resident of Hinton and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was retired from CSX after working as a clerk for 28 years.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Elaine Richardson Lipscomb, and one step-son, Ty Wayne Deeds.

Survived by his devoted and loving wife of 32 years, Zonita J. Lilly Lipscomb at home; one son, Gary Steve Lipscomb and wife Ann of Hinton; one daughter, Michele Lipscomb Patrick and husband Gary of Siler City; three grandchildren, Jonathan and Kristina Lipscomb of Hinton, Michael Patrick of Siler City; two stepdaughters, Rogena Deeds Davidson and husband Randy of Athens, Ga., Teresa Deeds Spicer of Bellepoint; five stepgranddaughters and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Madams Creek, Hinton.

Johnny Tex Ritter

Johnny Tex Ritter, 67, of Coal City, formerly of Lookout, passed away at Plateau Medical Center on Dec. 25, 2012, following a long illness.

Johnny was born April 30, 1945, at Fire Creek. He was a son of the late Jessie Ritter and Sadie Ritter of Lookout.

Tex was preceded in death by five sisters, Alice Petitt, Jessie Ann Ritter, Margaret Ritter, Becky Clifton and Leona Ward.

He was retired from his usual occupation of Security.

Tex is survived by his mother, Sadie Ritter of Lookout; three sisters, Rose Ritter of Edmond, Donna Smith of Propps Ridge, and Dottie Rutledge of Coal City; a brother, Michael Ritter of Lookout.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral home in Ansted  with Pastor Mark Secrist officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Victor.

Charlotte W. Sheppard

CHARMCO — Charlotte W. Sheppard, 101, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, in Brier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Fairlea.

Born Sept. 4, 1911, in Branchland, Lincoln County, she was the daughter and the last child of the late William Hurston and Minnie Adkins Watson.

Charlotte was a devoted mother and homemaker and a member of the Gordon Freewill Baptist Church, Charmco.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Simon B. Sheppard; two sons, Simon B. Sheppard Jr. and William F. Sheppard; two daughters, Norma O’Dell and Mellie Edenfield; three brothers, Arthur, Cline and Tony Watson; three sisters, Madge Siegert, Maggie Ashworth and Ona Dillon; two grandsons and three great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Robert E. Sheppard and wife Nancy of Alderson; two daughters, Linda J. Guss and husband Steve of Baldwin City, Kan., and Lisa R. Wolford of Charmco; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Smathers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jack Dempsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.

ALPOCA — Ricky James Shrewsbury, 48, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012.

A celebration of Ricky’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville, with the Rev. Ricky Shrewsbury officiating. Burial will follow in Leonard Goode Family Cemetery, Bud Mountain.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the funeral home.

Becky Smith

MULLENS — Rebecca Dawn “Becky” Smith, 41, was called home to reunite with her Dad and her Lord on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in a Charleston hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Born June 27, 1971 at Fort Lee, Va., she was the daughter of Eva Hill Smith of Mullens and the late Everett Smith.

She was a homemaker, a sales associate in retail sales and a member of the Mullens Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved spending time with her sons, nieces and nephews, and she loved talking with her friends.

When we pause to remember Becky, we shall remember her willingness to witness to others about her Lord and Savior and that she was an inspiration to everyone she met.

In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Naomi Hill and her father-in-law, Denny Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mark A. (Boomer) Smith; she was the loving mother of two sons, Taylor and Tanner Smith both at home; her mother, Eva Hill Smith of Mullens; a sister, Melinda Price and her husband, Jason of Shady Spring; nieces and nephews, Tyler, Joey, Kiersten, Katlin and Alyssa all of Shady Springs; and her mother-in-law, Bonita Kay Lane Smith of Bud Mtn.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at the Mullens Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Greg Worley, Kevin Gillispie, Chris Clark, David Boothe, Eddie Walker, Andrew Thomas, W.T. Davis IV, and Mike Seaton.

George Frederick Smith, Sr.

ONA — George Frederick Smith Sr., 80, formerly of Mt. Hope, Died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Qunnimont on March 6, 1932. He was the son of the late Charles E. and Ruth M. Bivens Smith.

He was retired from the C&O Railway.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Amy Vealey and Jason Smith.

His survivors include his wife, Nancy Jane Boyd; five sons and three daughters, George F. Smith Jr., Thomas M. Smith, Anna L. Vealey, Michael A. Smith, C. Richard Smith, C. Wayne Smith, Nancy Pat Smith, and Kelly S. Freeman.

He was also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

Committal services will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Oak Hill Friday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. with Minister Dennis Kinzer officiating.

Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.

Ray Milton Walls

WARTHEN, Ga. — Rev. Ray Milton Walls, age 76, died Sunday morning, Dec. 23, 2012, in the University Hospital in Augusta following a brief illness.

Rev. Walls was born in Iaeger, the son of the late Emick Ray Walls. He was a retired Baptist minister having served churches in West Virginia, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida and Georgia. Rev. Walls was a member of the Tennille Baptist Church.

Survivors are: his wife, Lois K. Walls of Warthen; a son, Timothy Edward Walls and his wife Karen Sue of Warthen; his mother, Mildred E. Walls of Beckley; seven grandchildren, Amber D. Walls, Annie L. Walls, Timothy Ray Walls, Kathryn Walls, James Schirmer, Kaylan Schirmer and Sara Schirmer; three great-grandchildren, Madison Heggs, Jayla Heggs and Bryan Heggs; a sister, M. Nadine Mossner of Frankenmuth, Mich.; his brothers, Roland K. Walls of Beckley, Darold T. Walls of Jamestown, N.D., Russell E. Walls of Morganton, N.C., Ritchie R. Walls of Mt. Hope, and Lorin H. Walls of Crab Orchard.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Warthen, Ga. The Rev. Tim Powell will officiate.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of these arrangements.

 



Billy G. Webb

We lost our Santa Claus today, the day before Christmas. Our Daddy was and always will be our Santa Claus, so strong and so gentle at the same time. He will always be remembered as Husband, Daddy, PopPop, brother and friend to the many that love him.

Billy G. Webb of Posey Saxon went to be with his Lord and Savior on 12/24/12 after a short illness, but a long and full life. Those awaiting him at Heaven’s gate will be his loving parents, the late Eugene and Elizabeth Webb, and sister, Beverly Jane of Posey Saxon.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Clarice Ann Webb of Posey Saxon; his son, Kelly David Webb and wife Lora of Posey Saxon; daughters, Christina Lynn Lambert of Surveyor, Mary Elizabeth Monday and husband Justin of Mullens, and Billie Jean Chapman and husband Joshua of Holly Hills; the little loves of his life, his grandchildren, Daniel Webb, Cole Lambert, Dylan Chapman, Ethan Lambert, Kelli Chapman, Sarah Monday, Trevor Thompson and Little Isaac Eugene Chapman.

Also left to cherish his memory is a sister, Peggy Gray and husband Charles of Posey Saxon; brother, Michael Webb and wife Cubbie of Shady Spring and countless nieces, nephews and good ole buddies.

Daddy was well known and well loved, all that knew him will miss him but will always remember him. Merry Christmas in Heaven, Daddy.

Bessie Pantoplus Zaferatos

Bessie Pantoplus Zaferatos, 92, of Beckley, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at the McDowell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gary.

Born on May 22, 1920, in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Everette Pantoplus and Helena Karmanos Pantoplus.

She was a member of Maxwell Hill Baptist Church in Beckley, and was the former owner and operator of the ByPass Supermarket. She was a resident of Lilly Drive in Beckley for many years.

Mrs. Zaferatos was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Zaferatos, by brothers, Clarence, and Ernest Pantoplus, and by two sisters, Bertha Mitchell and Liberty Fields.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her sister, Connie Constanes, of Alexandria, Va. Several nieces and nephews also are among her survivors.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at noon with Pastor Ken Killen officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
