Clinton Ray Daniels

Clinton Ray Daniels, age 52, of Crab Orchard,  passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013. 

Born on December 10, 1960 in Raleigh County, he was the son of Dorothy Dilsworth Daniels of Prosperity and the late Clayton Ray Daniels.

Mr. Daniels was a carpenter, and was a US Army Veteran. He had made his home at Crab Orchard for the past 12 years.

Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Meadows.

Surviving are his wife, Florence “Jeannie” Bolen Daniels; four children, Clinton Ray Daniels II, Crystal Daniels, Matthew Daniels, and Katrina Daniels, all of Crab Orchard; two sisters, Christy Roark and her husband Rev. Shane Roark of Daniels, Donna Milam of Prosperity; four grandchildren, Tyler, Christopher, Haley and Kayla.

A memorial service will be held at the Vision Freewill Baptist Church at Jonben, on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 6 p.m. with Rev. Shane Roark officiating. There will be no prior visitation.

Derrick James Eye

Derrick James Eye (Hart) age 34, of Glen Morgan, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013.

Born on July 14, 1979 in Beckley, he was the son of Janet Eye Hart and Carl A. Hart of Glen Morgan.

Derrick was an employee of Wiseman Construction Company as a builder. He was a graduate of Shady Spring High School, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving other than his parents, include grandparents, Audrey and James Eye of Bragg. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Orville Setliff officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday.

Pallbearers will be cousins and friends of the family.
