Elmer Lee Brewer
STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — Elmer Lee Brewer, age 70, of Strongsville, Ohio, formerly of Beckley, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
Born on April 4, 1943, in Mabscott, he was the son of the late Charles Elmer Brewer and Etta Dell Norman Brewer.
He was a former restaurant manager in Washington, DC, and had made his home in Ohio for the past 35 years.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by siblings, Joyce Johnson, Bill Brewer and Glenn Brewer.
Surviving are his sisters, Freeda Plybon of Jacksonville, Fla., Ramona Beasley and her husband Charles of Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and Shirley Brewer of Beckley.
Graveside rites and burial will be conducted at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013, with Pastor John Jordan. There will be no visitation.

Carrilyn R. Mullins-Carey
Mrs. Carrilyn R. Mullins-Carey, 66, of Beckley, died Thursday, October 10, 2013.
Born December 1, 1946, in Anjean, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Juanita Brooks.
Mrs. Carey was a correctional officer/grant writer and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Beckley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John Brooks, Stephen Brooks and Thomas Brooks.
Left to cherish precious memories are her husband, Nathaniel Carey of Beckley; her children, Aaric Mullins of Rockford, Ill., Justin (Aliya) Mullins of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Tanisha (Darrel) Hughes of Beckley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at New Hope Baptist Church, 305 Worley Road, Beckley, with Rev. Walter Leach, Rev. Walter Clay, Evangelist Damon Hamby and Rev. Akeem Carroll officiating, Justin Mullins will be the eulogist. Burial will follow in Trails End Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church.

Charlotte Florence Hennen Dye, a native of Wirt County, passed away Oct. 13, 2013.
Funeral service will be noon Friday, Oct. 18, at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with Pastors Al Mendez and Joey Scarberry officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. A gathering of family and friends will be 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday and also one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
