OCEANA — Danny Ray Bailey, 53, of Oceana, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home with the Rev. William Cook officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Jesse.
Friends may gather with the family from 11 a.m. until service time on Thursday.

Betty Gaye Bess
KINCAID — Betty Gaye Bess, 75, of Kincaid, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013.
She was born July 2, 1938, to the late Frank and Goldie Brown Bench.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to many.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by sister, Norma Estep.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 58 years, Donald E. Bess Sr.; daughters, Cathy L. Woods, Barbara G. Quinn, Jane A. Bess, Cynthia D. Harvey; son, Donald E. Bess Jr.; brothers, Frank Bench Jr., Paul Bench, Bob Bency; sisters, Helen White, Emma Jean Adkins, Joyce Foster, Rose Vernati, Sheila Bench; grandchildren, Benjamin Bess, Jeremy Bess, Eddie Ford, Jared Bess, Jennifer Bess, Megan Brown and six great grandchildren.
High Lawn Funeral Chapel, Oak Hill is in charge of arrangements.
Patricia ‘Patty’ Browning
GREEN BANK — Patricia “Patty” Browning, 75, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at the Arbovale Cemetery Annex, with the Rev. Paul Murdock officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the services.

Betty Cline, 84, formerly of Man, W.Va., passed away Saturday, October 5 at Rockdale Healthcare Center in Conyers, Ga.
Born July, 27, 1929, in Baileysville, W.Va., she was the daughter of Lee and Rosalie Short.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert Cline and her siblings, Mildred, Raymond and Howard Short.
Betty was an English and Literature teacher in Logan County Schools working at Man Jr. High and Logan Central Jr. High until she retired in 1991. Shortly after retiring, she moved to Snellville, Ga. and became a teacher with Dekalb County Schools. She retired yet again, but continued to substitute teach up until age 80. Betty loved teaching and being with students. She could also be found backstage at The Aracoma Story for several years helping out with anything that needed to be done. Her loving and supportive presence will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Jenni Caruso of Conyers, Ga.; her son, Danny Cline of Charleston, W.Va. and granddaughters, Fiona Caruso and Caitlin Cline.
