Lois Kidd Adkins

MATHENY — New freedom from these earthly bonds of emotional and physical pain and suffering.

Congratulations on the first day of your new life. Lois Kidd Adkins, 65, departed this life Tuesday, September 25, 2012, in Kentucky following a long illness.

Born April 24, 1947, in Stanville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jet and Reba Stratton Kidd.

Lois was a 1966 graduate of Oceana High School, a homemaker and a member of Clear Fork Valley Baptist Church. She was a giver. Lois gave so much of herself to her friends and family. Now it’s time for her to receive all those blessings and rewards that our Heavenly Father promised his children. She laid in bed for eight months and could only think of going home. She has arrived Home and I can only imagine the reunion that took place.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Gary Kidd; a nephew, Jeremy Kidd; and a brother-in-law, Roger Tackett.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Mary Frances Justice and husband, Timothy of Harold, Ky., and Tonya Denise Bailey and husband, Brain of Webbville, Ky.; three brothers, Donny Kidd of Richmond, Ky., David Kidd and wife Cynthia of Matheny and Ronald Kidd and wife, Evelyn of Oceana; two sisters, Anna Haynes and husband, Jimmy of Hebron, Ohio, and Linda Tackett of Grethel, Ky.; two grandchildren, Jordan Faith Bailey and Derick Lee Justice; seven nieces and four nephews, and a host of family and friends.

A celebration of Mrs. Adkins life will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, at Clear Fork Valley Baptist Church with Erwin Gregory officiating. Lois will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012, at the funeral home.
