Clara Bell Kirk McMillion
FRANKFORD — Clara Bell Kirk McMillion, passed away Monday, July 29,2013, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center after an extended illness. Clara had been a resident at the Autumn Way Assisted Living for three months.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 49 years, William A. (Bill) McMillion of Frankford; her sons, Jeff (Kim) of Tazewell, Va., Greg (Deanna) of White Sulphur Springs, Billy (Sheri) of Frankford.
Clara (Mamaw) was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren: Allie, Shawn, Tyler, Connor and Adam and three step grandchildren, Anna, Tanner and Abby Richmond and Shawn and Connor’s mom, Jackie Winebrimmer of Gap Mills.
Clara is also survived by three brothers, Russell Kirk (Jean Clarkson) of Gap Mills, Buddy (Tina) Kirk of Baltimore, Md. and Hamp (Donna) of Union; a sister, Ela Mae (Earl) Ripley of Gap Mills. Clara loved her many nieces and nephews.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, the late Herman and Lucy Kirk and four brothers, Lowell, Robert Lee, Lawrence, James and three sisters, Rosie Walker, Violet Dowdy and Kathleen Kirk.
Clara was a member and attended Shuck Memorial Baptist Church, Lewisburg. She loved to cook and bake and retired from the Greenbrier County Board of Education as a cook for 32 years at Frankford Elementary School and then at Greenbrier East High School.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, Aug. 1, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at the funeral home in Lewisburg, with the Revs. Ron Miller and Jonathan Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Morningside Cemetery at Renick.
