Rev. Calvin W. Moore Sr.
The Rev. Calvin W. Moore Sr., 77, of Beckley, died Sunday, September 29, 2013.
Born April 17, 1936, in Slab Fork, W.Va., he was the son of the late James and Lola Ann Gilbert Moore.
Rev. Moore was a mechanic, coal miner and a member of First Baptist Church, Rhodell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd, Monroe, Harvey and Robert Lee Moore; two sisters, Nora Hatcher and Isabell Moore.
Left to cherish precious memories are his wife Emma; sons, Calvin (Maxcine) Jr., James and William Moore; one daughter, Ophelia; two sisters, Nellie and Geraldine Moore; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 142 Mool Ave., Beckley, with Rev. Calvin Moore Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

OAK HILL — Lewis Emmitt “Bill” Rogers Jr., 79, of Oak Hill, died on Monday, September 30, 2013.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Benjamin Bleigh officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park., Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

SUMMERSVILLE — Roger Edward Sattler Jr., 25, of Summersville, died Sunday, September 29, 2013.
His body will be cremated. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, October 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville. Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to service on Friday.
