Mary Etta Hogan
OAK HILL — Mary Etta Hogan, 79, of Oak Hill, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2013, at her residence.
Born January 15,1934, in Pemberton, she was the daughter of the late Marion Cecil and Glenna Hamm.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Bell; her son, Marion Eugene Bell and a stillborn daughter; also two sisters, and two brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Audie Charles Bell and his wife Goldie of Oak Hill; two granddaughters, Edna and Jed Branham and Shandra Bell; her sister, Dorothy Diamond and her brother, Jimmy Varnett, special friends that help with her care from time to time Ted Dixson and Dimmie and James Garrett and Joesphine Bennett and a host of nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes she has been privately entombed in the Faith Chapel of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Margaret L. Mills
MULLENS — Margaret Louise Hollins Mills, 83, of Mullens, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013, in a Charleston hospital following a short illness.
Born October 14, 1929, at Besoco, she was the daughter of the late Harry Allen and Hazel Etta (Kirk) Hollins.
Mrs. Mills was a homemaker. She was a founding member of the Black Eagle First Baptist Church, where she has served as the only church secretary since its beginning.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a brother, Harry Allen Hollins Jr. and a sister, Betty Lou Hazelwood.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 66 years, Wallace A. Mills; two daughters, Jean Cabral of Mullens and Joyce Babineau and her husband, Bob of Shady Spring; one son, Wallace “Spike” Mills Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Summersville; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
