Perry E. Caples
RONCEVERTE — Perry E. Caples, 73, of Ronceverte, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte.
Perry was born Dec. 30, 1938, in Newton, Texas, and was the son of the late Elgie and Molly Caples.
Mr. Caples was a Navy Veteran and a retired painter for ABB in Lewisburg.
Perry was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Caples.
Survivors include his son, Doug Caples and his wife, Beth Ann of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Shawn Nathan LaFleur of Beckley, Christopher Douglas Caples of Ronceverte; step grandchildren, Amber Lynn Moody of Biloxi, Miss. and Alex Taylor McCutcheon of Meridian, Miss.; great-grandchildren, Kirby, McKenzie, Ryan, Jonathan and Anna, also siblings in Texas.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ronceverte. The family will receive their family and friends from 2 p.m. until time of the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Perry’s name to Wallace & Wallace, Inc., 502 Monroe Ave., Ronceverte, WV 24970.

James E. Fredericks Sr.
OAK HILL — James E. Fredericks Sr. 74, of Oak Hill, died Oct. 24th, 2012, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born on March 30th, 1938 in Minden, W.Va., a son of the late Fred and Gertrude Rilat Fredericks.
In addition to his parents one son, James E. Fredericks Jr., and three brothers, Ernest, Fred and William preceded him in death.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Rita (Worthington) Fredericks; his son, Kurt Fredericks and his wife Melissa of Oak Hill; four step-children, Dale Mackey, Richard Mackey and his wife, Judith, and Barbara Mackey of Oak Hill, and Pamela Finy and husband Moe of Westerville, Ohio; two brothers, Benjamin Fredericks and his wife, Arlene of Albuquerque, NM and Charles (Jerry) Fredericks and his wife, Jane of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
James served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Ross where he worked as a Machinist’s Mate Ship Repair Engine Operator (MMSR) from 1956 to 1960. After serving the Navy, James went to Chicago to study tool and die graduating from Allied Institute of Technology. There he met his wife, then returned to Oak Hill.
James was founder and president of RI-JA Machining Co that was established in 1966. He purchased and built the first business in Lochgelly’s Industrial Park where the company is currently located today.
James loved to golf. He was a member of the White Oak Country Club, a member of the Oak Hill Rotary Club for whom he served twice as President and was of the Lutheran faith. A true visionary, his intellect, humor, charm and wit will be very much missed by all.
There will be no viewing. Services will be private.
