Jeannette Sue Fox
OAK HILL — Jeannette Sue Fox, 79, of Oak Hill, WV, died on Friday, October 19, 2012, at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV.
Born June 19, 1933, at Oak Hill, WV, she was the daughter of the late Forrest W. and Irene Blake Fox.
Miss Fox was a 1951 graduate of Oak Hill High School, was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church and was a member of Southern Cross Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a former employee of Tom Martin Insurance and United National Bank at Fayetteville.
Sisters, Forrest Ann Balding, Carolyn L. Rogers Wagner, Nancy Elmore, Virginia Mae Fox, and a brother, Burke Walton Fox, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two brothers, Lorah L. “Bud” Fox and wife, Chloe, of Oak Hill and Thomas William Fox and wife, Carol J., of Washington, NC. Also surviving are 9 nieces and nephews, 13 great-nieces and nephews and four great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at the Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. David Sneed officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church, 613 Lundale Drive, Oak Hill, WV 25901.

HINTON — Virginia Mae Gwinn, 88, of Hinton, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.

Marion Evlyn Paulett Lowman
CHESTERFIELD, Va. — Marion Evlyn Paulett Lowman, 84, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 20, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William Henry Paulett and Myrtle Jane Starr Paulett; sisters Rosalie Paulett and Virgie Mae Paulett Knight; and brother Grover Starr Paulett.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank A. Lowman; daughter Paulette L. Umberger (Art Lambert); sister, Eleanor Imogene Taylor; brother, William Allen Paulett; grandchildren, Jerry L. Umberger, Jr., (Leann) and Casey N. Radford (Adam); great-grandchildren, Isabella Umberger, Tyler Radford, Vince Umberger and due in November baby girl Radford.
Marion graduated from Manchester High School and became an assistant Vice President of First Mortgage Corporation. She retired from Nations Bank after over 40 years of service. She accompanied her husband and daughter on a three-month business trip to Australia in 1968. Her later travels included many countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Marion loved spending time with the family on Thanksgiving and Christmas. She also enjoyed yearly vacations to Myrtle Beach and Gwynn’s Island. She was the nicest and most caring person who never met a stranger anywhere in the world. Marion was a member of Branch’s Baptist Church and especially enjoyed working with the children. Her flower garden contained beautiful roses but nothing was more beautiful than her smile when she received the cut roses at the back door.
The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia.
