Edward T. Lilly, age 79, of Shady Spring, died peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, following a long illness.
Arrangements are pending completion at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home-Shady Spring Chapel, Shady Spring.
Robert Gene Lucas
Robert Gene Lucas, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in Oak Hill, W.Va.
Born November 22, 1934, in Glen Ferris, W.Va., he was the youngest son of the late Frank and Odell (Coats) Lucas Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, Frank Lucas Jr.
A graduate of Simmons High School, he served in the US Army veteran and later moved to Detroit, Mich., where he sold life insurance, worked at the University of Michigan and retired in 1997 from the Ford Motor Company, with 33 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; two children, Kevin (Jennifer) and Robyn Lucas, both of Ann Arbor, Mich.; older brother, David (Elouise) Lucas of Detroit Mich.; step-children, Kenya Gibson of Ganhana Ohio, Kietra Gibson of Charleston, W.Va., and Kenneth Gibson III of Charlton Heights, W.Va.; step-grandchildren, Kynista Gibson, Jai Henry, Dreneq Gibson, Gerald Gibson Zackary Yeakey, Lyric Gibson and Ashton Gibson, who is on his way and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 So. Kanawha St., Beckley, with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
As per his request, he will be cremated immediately following the service and inurnment will be at a later date in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgo, W.Va.

Ralph ‘Rick’ Marlow
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Ralph “Rick” Edward Marlow, 41, Parkersburg, W.Va., died October 9, 2012, at Palmetto Health Ministries, Columbia SC.
Rick was born January 7, 1971 to Faye Hickel Marlow and Ralph Dennis Marlow in Parkersburg.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed sports very much, especially the Pittsburg Steelers and the Atlanta Braves.
He is survived by his parents, his daughters, Megan (Geoff) Crum, Whipple, OH, Makayla Marlow, Parkersburg, WV, grandsons, Maddox Crum and Blake Binegar, sisters, Melissa (Ken) Hall, Deltona FL, Michelle (Bert) Breen and Jamie (Brian) Robbins, Lexington, SC, 12 nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Waitman and Cloris Hickel, James and Goldie McGowan, Harold Marlow and two cousins.
As per his request, he was cremated.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brenda Lee Jones Benefit Fund, c/o People's Bank in Parkersburg WV to help (BD and ME) fight with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Parkersburg, W.Va., followed by a Celebration of Life.
