Lorine Ellen Bell Young
Lorine Ellen Bell Young, age 73 of Beckley, formerly of Princewick, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born on January 9, 1939 in Woodpeck, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Lewis F. Bell and Lizzie Phlegar Bell.
Lorine was a caregiver for PineLodge Nursing Home in Beckley and was of the Baptist faith. She had made her home at Princewick for most of her life.
Lorine loved crocheting, quilting, and canning.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Glen, Claude, Clifton, and Clyde Bell and a sister Lois Bell Walker.
Lorine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children; Lawrence L. Young and his wife Julie of White Oak, Detzel A. Young and his wife Debbie of Soak Creek, Charlene Young of Orlando, Florida, Darlene Hodges and her husband Rick of Beckley, Arlene Stewart and her husband Mark of Boiling Spring Lakes, North Carolina, Belinda Sears and her husband Michael of Cool Ridge, WV, and a daughter Ann Griffith and her husband Steve of Beckley, she was raised by Lois and Harry Walker.
Brothers, Danny Bell and his wife Nancy of Coal City, Gilbert Bell and his wife Betty of Silvis, Illinois, sisters, Pauline Phillips and her husband Ralph of Beckley, Jackilene Cooper and her husband Lowell of Toledo, Illinois; 12 grandchildren, Crystal Mullins, Chad Adams, Michelle Stewart, Michael Sears II, Angela Gauldin, Amanda Young, Andrea Withrow, Valerie Bradford, Jennifer Stewart, Samantha Smith, Zachary Griffith, Jordan Young, 4 great grandchildren, Katie, Josh, and Karlea Mullins, and Alexander Adams.
Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate The Life Of Lorine Young on Sunday October 14, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, with Elder Willard K. Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the Thompson Cemetery at Coal City.
Friends and family visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
Pallbearers will be Chad Adams, Michael Sears II, Zachary Griffith, Jordan Young, Chuckie Bell, and Michael Sears.
