Jessie Paul Stone
Jessie Paul Stone, of Rock Creek, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
Jessie was born September 24, 1946, in Edwight, W.Va., a son of the late Clarence and Effie Marie Bailey Stone.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Stone; two sisters, Mary Burnette, Bonnie Daniels; two brothers, John Clarence Stone Jr., James Stone and one grandson, Luke Sterling Davis.
Jessie leaves behind a loving wife of 14 years, Barbara Kay; also left to cherish his memories are his children, stepson, Denny Len (Lisa) Stone of WV, Michele (Kristen) Sears of WV, Katie (Matthew) Dunbar of WV, step-daughter, Masie Smith of OK, Martha (Mark) Gilbert of WV, Jesse (Mary Jo) Stone of WV; surviving brothers and sisters include Orville (Reba) Stone of WV, John Robert (Patsy) Stone of WV, Rodenny Stone of WV, Hazel (Donald) Scarbro of OH, Linda (Michael) Patrick of GA. Jessie was a proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville. Singer will be Christopher Wallace. Burial will follow in the Scarbro Cemetery at Rock Creek.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Stone, Denny Len Stone, Matthew Dunbar, Mark Gilbert, Michael Patrick and Michael Williams.
Friends may call two hours prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Forest M. Workman
LANSING — Forest M. Workman, 89, a lifelong resident of Lansing, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley.
Born on July 24, 1923 at Lansing, he was the son of the late John Albert and Mamie Sanders Workman.
Mr. Workman was a member of Ames Heights Bible Church where he served as Deacon and taught the Adult Men Sunday School Class. He served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Lafayette #57 Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member of UMWA.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Michael Workman.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Betty A. Hurley Workman of Lansing; six sons: John and Tammy Workman of Lansing, Christopher of Lansing, Glenn and Martha Workman of Lansing, Myron and Carol Workman of Lansing, Rodney and Margaret Workman of Ansted, and Eric and Teresa of Danese; one sister: Nellie Fox of Fayetteville; twelve grandchildren: Mary and Joshua Taylor of Lansing, Vivian and Josh Trinkle of Charleston, Lesley and Chris Pino of Ansted, Charlotte and Jason Allport of Danese, Joshua and Jessica Workman of Hico, Brandon and Rachel Workman of Danese, Stacey and Barry Walls of Charleston, Terri and Bill Robinson of Ansted, Janice and Matt Fernandez of Fayetteville, Patrick and Aimee Workman of Lansing, Christina and Raymand of Beards Fork; and Elijah Workman of Lansing; seventeen great-grandchildren: Alex and Courtney Taylor, Owen Allport, Michael, Mason, and Kiley Workman, Cayden Morgan, Kelsey and Kinsley Workman, Sara and Parker Walls, Amelia and Chole Robinson, Kaylynn Fernandez, Abigail and Scarlet Robinson, and Ezekial Workman; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Ames Heights Bible Church, with Rev. Frank Castello officiating. Burial will follow in the Lansing Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
