William ‘Bill’ C. Russell
LEWISBURG — William ‘Bill” C. Russell, 95, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at home, after a long illness.
Born July 17, 1917, in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was the son of the late Williams Valtz and Callie Hedrick Skaggs Russell.
Mr. Russell was a lifelong resident of Lewisburg, member of the Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg, graduated from Central Elementary School in Richlands, Lewisburg High School and West Virginia University and was a retired dairy farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucille C. Russell, on Oct. 19, 2009, and brother, Richard Skaggs.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Gale Hamrick and husband, Bernie, of Lewisburg, Jennifer Huffman and husband, Clifford, of Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Lynn “Cookie” VanIderstyne and husband, Rich, of Jeckyll Island, Ga., Patrick Huffman of Homer, Alaska, Meg Burton and husband, Scott, of Marietta, Ga., Russell Huffman and wife, Shannon, of White Sulphur Springs and Cam Huffman and wife, Dawn, of Lewisburg; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at the Old Stone Presbyterian Church, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Dexter Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.
Friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at the Longanacre Funeral Home, Fairlea.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Greenbrier Hospice Care, 223 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Mark E. Wade
WINONA — Mark E. Wade, 58, of Winona, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012, at Plateau Medical Center, following a long illness.
Mark was born October 30, 1953, in Falls View, W.Va. He was the son of the late Clayton Avinette Wade and Dorothy Led Wood Wade.
Mr. Wade was a member of the Church of The Redeemer of Ansted. He was an Auto Body repairman and an Insurance Adjuster.
Mark is survived by his wife, Robin Wade of Winona; two daughters, Melanie Wade of Winona, Toni Frame and her husband Michael of Canvas; four sisters, Janis Hawver of Ansted, Betty Jo Holloway of Fort Walker Beach, Fla., Peggy Drumm of Tampa, Fla., Sandra Wade of Indiana; brothers, Robert Michael Wade of Fayetteville, Terry Lee Wade of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Raygen, Remington and Havyn Frame.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Ansted, with Father Roy Gene Crist officiating. Burial will follow in Nuttall Cemetery at Edmond.
Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday.
