Frankie Dale Collins

MILL CREEK — Frankie Dale Collins, 45, of Mill Creek, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 following a sudden illness

Born November 17, 1968 in McDowell County, he was the son of John R. Edwards of Turkey Creek and the late Louise Trent Edwards

Frankie attended the Mill Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, being outdoors, working on vehicles, four wheeler riding, and being with his family and friends. Anyone who knew Frankie Dale, knew he was a dependable friend and would do anything for anybody that he could.

In addition to her mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Bee and Louise Collins, Leonard and  Pearl Trent and Robert and Eva Edwards. He was also preceded in death by two special cousins Jeffrey Browning and Thomas Trent.

Survivors include his wife, Heather Steele Collins of the residence; four  sons, Christopher, Jeffrey, Frankie and James; two daughters, Patricia and Jessica; three sisters, Eva Leonard and her husband, Michael, Trina Killingsworth and her husband, Frank, Tina Martin and her husband, David; three half brothers, Tommy, Timmy and Danny; a half sister, Cindy and a special uncle and best friend, David Steele. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends

A celebration of Frankie’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Mill Creek Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Bailey and Rev. Andy Ratliff officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In keeping with Frankie’s wishes, he will be cremated.

Margaret Sue Honaker Collins

Margaret Sue Honaker Collins, 75, of Glen Daniel, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.

Born May 23, 1938 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Juanita Honaker.

Margaret enjoyed spending time outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Amos Collins, and her brother James Honaker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Angela Tate and Husband John; son Kevin Collins and wife Tina; grandson Brandon Tate; sisters Rita Whitehair and Mary Birchfield; brothers David Honaker and Michael Honaker.

Services to celebrate the life of Margaret Sue Honaker Collins will be held at 1 p.m.  Friday, December 6, 2013 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Beckley, with Rev. William “Butch” LeGrand officiating.

Friends may gather with the family from 12 noon until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
