Patricia L. Ashworth

CHARLESTON — Patricia L. Ashworth, 87, of Charleston, formerly of Beckley, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Adkins officiating.  Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in Beckley.

Friends will may visit with the family at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and also one hour prior to the services on Saturday.

Lewis G. Bibb

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — Lewis G. Bibb, 93, of Pickerington, formerly of Garten and Parkersburg, died Thursday, November 28 at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio  after a brief illness.

He was born November 9, 1920 to the late Julian and Lucille Bibb of Louise, Va.

Lewis was educated in the Fayette County School system in WV and was a graduate of DuBois High School, Mt. Hope. He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army. After working in manufacturing, construction and the coal mines of WV, he moved his family to Parkersburg and retired from Kaiser Aluminum.

Lewis joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garten, at an early age and later became an active member and tither at Zion Baptist Church, Parkersburg, where he assisted in the construction of a new church and served on the Deacon Board. In 2007, he relocated to Pickerington, Ohio.

Lewis was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Tarsie Mosley Bibb; brothers Jesse, Everett, Mason and Preston and sister Elsie; six sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and grandson, Frederick LaMar Kanney.

Lewis leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Linda (Frederick) Kanney, granddaughter, Francine Matteson; grandson, Cameron (Johncie) Kanney; great-grandchildren, Allante Miller, Bria Kanney, Maya Matteson, C.J., and Jace Kanney; sister-in-law, Marian Bibb of Willingboro, NJ; brothers-in-law, Winston “Pete” Mosley of Camden, NJ, Cordia (Pat) Mosley of Quakertown, Pa. and other loved relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Home Chapel, 720 E. Long St., Columbus, Ohio. Interment with military honors will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
