Jason David Arthur

Jason David Arthur, 30, of Grandview, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Grandview Christian Church with Pastor Terry Newton officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the purpose of caring for Jason’s and Felicia’s children.

Ruby Mae Lusk Bailey

CYCLONE — Ruby Mae Lusk Bailey, 75, of Cyclone, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center following a long illness with her family by her side. She was born March 6, 1938, at Cyclone , WV, a daughter of the late Mack and Hallie Paynter Lusk. Ruby enjoyed her family get-togethers, her church family and her church. She loved going out to eat with her daughters and granddaughters; she loved going to church when she could.

In addition to her parents, her husband Robert “Pondy” Bailey in 1998 and an infant son Robert Grady Bailey and a daughter Regina Bailey Trent in Nov. of 2009, and a granddaughter Miranda Bailey also preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory include six children, three daughters Linda Lusk and husband Andrew of Cyclone, Judy Fraley and husband Wes of Oceana and Cindy Daniels and husband Ryan of Cyclone; three sons Randall Bailey and wife Suzette of Cyclone, Jackie Bailey and wife Pam of Oceana and Iverson Bailey and wife Vickie of Matheny; Ruby’s nine grandchildren Chris Fraley, Brad Fraley, Crystal Massey, Michael Bailey, Keith Bailey, Hayes Lusk, Shelia Haynes, Matthew Daniels and Sarah Daniels; her thirteen great-grandchildren Christopher Fraley, Isaac Fraley, Gracie Fraley, Kaylee Massey, Gavin Massey, Kacie Fraley, Karlie Fraley, Tyler Bailey, Jacob Haynes, Hayden Lusk, Matthew Bailey, Hunter Bailey and Kaitlyn Bailey; two brothers her twin Billy Lusk of Oceana and Mackie Lusk of Cyclone; two sisters Sharon Osborne of Cyclone and Carrie Toler of Celina, Ohio; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at the Toler Baptist Church, Campus, with Pastor Clarence Gibson officiating. Ruby will be laid to rest beside her husband in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday and one hour before the funeral service at the church. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family extends special thanks to 4th floor ICU at Logan Regional Medical Center, Genisus Healthcare at three mile curve and STAT Ambulance Service for all the loving care showed to our mom.

Jodi Lynn Bennett

RONCEVERTE — Jodi Lynn Bennett, 33, of Ronceverte, formerly of Hinton, went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 12, 2013, at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born March 19, 1980, at Hinton, she was a daughter of Phillip Adkins and wife Brenda of Hinton and Linda Bennett of Hilldale.

Jodi was a CNA, caring for the elderly. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who enjoyed camping, outdoors, flowers and spending time with her children and family.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Russell and Sylvia Adkins; maternal grandparents, Robert “Bo” and Margaret Gill; four uncles, Glen, Charles, Roger and Steven “Turkey” Adkins; and two cousins, Anthony and Joseph Adkins.

Besides her parents those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Sean and Adriana Bennett and Ryan and Lindsey Quick at home; her companion, Ronald Lee Quick of Ronceverte; five sisters, Crystal Adkins of Hilldale, Cathy Wills of Dawson, Jennifer Ward of Hinton, Sarah Clingan of Hinton and Becky Clingan of Sandstone. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral parlors.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Ida Mae Lester Mullins

PINEVILLE — Ida Mae Lester Mullins, 91, of Pineville, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013.

A celebration of Ida’s life will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Lee Fischer officiating. The family will receive friends from noon Tuesday until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Lester Family Cemetery, Fanrock.
