Charles W. Harris Jr.

Charles Wesley Harris Jr. of Coal City passed away at Raleigh General Hospital on Monday, July 9th, 2013, following a massive stroke. He was 59 years of age.

Born August 6th, 1953, at Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Betty Gunnoe Harris. A sister, Robin Harris, has preceded him in death.

Charles was an electrical construction worker the majority of his life. In his leisure time he loved cooking, fishing, playing poker and riding his motorcycle with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Asa Harris; sisters, Debbie McGraw Harris, Vicki Harris; Charles’ former wives, Pat Harris and Zoe Ann Harris; nieces, Sabrina Wallace and her husband Ronnie, Whitney Cox, Camille Matics; Dione Wood Milauskas and her husband, Steven; nephews, Jackie Sexton and John Bru Minick; grandnieces, Megan Wallace and Patience Matics; his Aunt Betty Higganbothan; many friends and cousins.

Charles’s services will be Saturday, July 20th, at 2 p.m. at the Lillybrook Freewill Baptist Church, 403 Parker Street, Coal City (turn right at the country store), with Pastor Lowell Black officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

BRUNO — Loretta Sue Davis Jewell, 65, of Bruno, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013.

Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the Verner Community Church, Verner, with the Revs. Walter Grimmett, Rodney Robinette and Tilly Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Verner Cemetery, Verner. Friends may call after 6 p.m. and a special service will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the church.
