Bobby Ray Cook

FENWICK — Bobby Ray Cook, 83, of Fenwick, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood, with Pastor Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Richwood Cemetery, Richwood. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the funeral home.

All arrangements were made by Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood.



Ricky Daily

FRANKFORD — Ricky Daily of Frankford died Wednesday, July 17, 2013.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the Frankford Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Frankford Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Janet Marie Gales

Janet Marie Gales, age 71, of Beckley, passed away at the Bowers Hospice House surrounded by her loving family and also by Pastor J.D. Walls, who guided her along the end of her journey, (along with the staff of the Bowers Hospice House).

Born on November 23, 1941, in Kopperston, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George Baxter and Helen Ganoe Baxter of Kopperston.

Janet was a retired employee of the State of Florida Parks and Recreation Division as an Administrative Assistant III during the years of 1997-2008. Janet was a graduate of Oceana High School in Oceana, W.Va., and was a member of Toneda Baptist Church in Kopperston.

In addition to her parents, George and Helen Ganoe Baxter, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Norman Childers and Thomas Gales.

Surviving are her daughter Tina Louise Childers Dixon, and her granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Dixon, Allison Ann Dixon, and Olivia Grace Dixon of Northhampton, Pa.; her brothers, George Baxter and his wife Joyce of Edgewater, Fla., and Ronald Baxter and his wife Ethel of Tallahassee, Fla., her sister Sharon Ringo and her husband Glen of Ocala, Fla., as well as her nephew Kevin Dale Weikle and his wife Joy Karen Weikle of Beckley, who had provided comfort and care during the end of Janet’s journey.

A memorial service will be conducted to Celebrate The Life Of Janet Marie Gales on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 6 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley with Pastor J.D. Walls officiating. Friends may visit with the family thirty minutes prior to the memorial services on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be sent to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV, in memory of Janet Gales.
