Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Browning
Our beloved Elizabeth “Libby” Browning passed away to the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. As hard as it is for us to let her go, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and is reunited with her children and other family.
Born December 10, 1948, to Robert and Virginia Lowe in Beckley.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cool Ridge Community Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Michael and David Lowe; baby brother, Robert Lowe; daughter, Rhonda Gilkerson; and her son, Bryan Browning.
Those left to cherish her memory include the love of her life for over 47 years, Rev. Ron Browning; grandchildren, Amanda Browning and companion Eric Keaton of Pemberton, Ayla Gilkerson and companion Richard Yearego of Maple Fork, Cory Browning and Erika Browning both of Daniels; great-grandchildren, Angel Browning of Bradley, Morgan Browning of Pemberton, Jordon and Peyton Bratcher both of Beckley, Karleigh Yearego of Maple Fork; sister, Kathy Sparks and husband Mike of Beckley; sister-in-law, Jenny Lowe of Beckley; her “other kid,” daughter-in-law, Sherry Browning; and a host of other family and friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Libby will be conducted at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Chapel in Beckley, with Bobby Kinser officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be held the same afternoon from 10 a.m. until the service starts on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
