Ida Mae Mullins
PINEVILLE — Ida Mae Lester Mullins, 91, of Pineville, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at the Bluefield Regional Hospital, following a short illness.
Born May 8, 1922, in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lola Elizabeth Gullion Lester.
Mrs. Mullins was a member of the Brenton Church of God. She enjoyed reading her Bible, crafts, cooking, and being with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Mullins; three brothers, Edward Tolley, George Tolley and Don Lester; a sister, Nellie Forgach; and a grandchild, Moon Mullins.
Survivors include her son, Douglas M. Mullins and his wife, Rodelyn, of Enterprise, AL; a daughter, Dorothy M. Willetts and her husband, Ty, of Palmsdale, CA; a brother, Franklin R. Lester of Mineral, VA; two sisters, Dora Ritter of Hampstead, NC, and Bessie Morgan of Pineville; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Ida’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Lee Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in the Lester Family Cemetery, Fanrock.
The family will receive friends from noon Tuesday until the time of the service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

CHARMCO — Rita Windon, 58, of Charmco, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Heartland of Rainelle.
Born January 8, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Ida Louise Hamilton Terrell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Copeland and husband Jesse.
Rita and her husband operated the Handy Place convenience store in Rupert for almost 22 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and was kind to everybody.
Rita was an active member of Newton Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include: husband, Lewis “Bud” Windon; one daughter, Jennifer Gunnoe and husband, Randy, of Rupert, and their daughter, Aurora Marie Gunnoe; one son, Tommy Windon and wife, Missy, of Hamilton, Alabama, and their children, Mariah and Sierra Windon; and one sister, Robbie Davis of North Lake, Illinois; also several brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Lee Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel, Rainelle.
