Lois S. Arrington

MULLENS — Lois S. Arrington, 83, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, in a Beckley hospital following a short illness.

Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Mullens.

Barbara Joyce ‘Sissy’ Legg Bays

VICTOR — Barbara Joyce “Sissy Legg Bays, 59, of Victor, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009, at her residence, following a long illness.

Barbara was born August 7, 1949, in Victor; she was a daughter of the late Rufus Randolph and Vestie Pruna Neff Legg.

She was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church of Victor, a retired English Teacher from Rainelle Junior High School and a homemaker.

Survivors are her husband, Raymond “Bud” G. Bays Jr. of Victor; two sisters, Debra Middleton and Sandra McGraw, both of Victor; two brothers, Gary Legg and Dennis Legg, both of Victor.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2009, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Ansted, with Rev. Richard Brown and Rev. Danny Sears officiating. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery on Horseshoe Road in Victor.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Jay S. Clark

Jay S. Clark, 34, of Daniels, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at VanReenen Funeral Home, Marlinton. Friends may call from noon until time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

Bobby Lee Davis

Bobby Lee Davis, age 66, of Scott Ridge Road, Beaver, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at his home following a short illness.

Born Aug. 16, 1942, at Skelton, W.Va., he was the son of Hilda Jones Davis of Beckley and the late Corbett John Davis.

Mr. Davis was a truck driver for Wilson Trucking for 40 years and had made his home in Woodbridge, Va., for many years.
