Peggy Lee Grubb
Peggy Grubb, 76, of Farley Hill, died Monday, May 13, 2013, after a long illness at home.
Born May 21, 1936, she was the daughter of Foncie and Frieda Campbell.
Mrs. Grubb was born and raised and a lifelong member of the Farley Hill Community and a member of the Missionary Ridge Baptist Church, Princewick.
Peggy enjoyed camping, horseback riding and the Greenbrier River. She loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Grubb was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Campbell; husband, Virgil Lee Grubb; two sons, Douglas Allen Grubb and Jason Richard Grubb; also two grandsons, David Thompson and Michael Grubb.
Those left to cherish her memory include, one sister, Margaret Kamakani of Oregon; three daughters, Patsy Grubb Farmer of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., Cindy Grubb Wright of Bassett, Va., LeAndra Grubb Spain of Soddy Daisy; three sons, Richard Grubb of Texas, Stewart Grubb of Farley Hill, and Terry Grubb of Farley Hill; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and Kameel Mohammad.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia, with Dennis Epperly and Lowell Black officiating.
Burial will follow at Farley Hill Cemetery.
Grandchildren, Paul Thornton, Ryan Cooper, Jason Grubb, James Thompson, and Jeremy Grubb will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lacy Crawford Humphries
BIG CREEK — Lacy Crawford Humphries, 85, of Big Creek, died Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Summers Nursing & Rehab Center following a long illness.
Born May 24, 1927, at Pence Springs, she was a daughter of the late Homer R. and Lillian Martin Crawford.
Lacy was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church and loved reading her bible and attending church. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, canning and quilting.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Eva Lynn Humphries; two sisters, Louise Adkins and Viola Crawford; two brothers, Herbert Crawford and Hubert Crawford.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Howard Lee Humphries and Betty Freber Humphries of Georgia; three grandchildren, Jody Ellen Humphries, Margaret Bernice Humphries, Crystal Humphries all of Georgia, James and Michael Freber of Florida; eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Crawford of Hilldale, Bobby Crawford of Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Gladys Lilly of Charleston, S.C. and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Thomas Lynn Maddy officiating. Burial will follow in the Crawford Cemetery at Big Creek. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
