Kenneth ‘Kenny’ D. Foley
Kenneth “Kenny” D. Foley, age 62, of Midway, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home following an extended illness.
Born on October 26, 1949, in Jumping Branch, WV, to the late Herbert Foley and Barbara Harvey Foley.
Kenny served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam and also was stationed at numerous locations for over 21 years and earned the rank as a Master Sergeant. He also loved fishing, gardening, and wood working.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Carson Foley.
Those surviving include his loving wife of 42 years, Mrs. Diana Foley, at home; son, Kenneth Dean Foley, Jr., from Midway; sisters, Shara Barnett of Tennessee, and Theresa Williams of Oklahoma; stepgrandchildren, James Howlett of Princeton, Patrick Allen “P.J.” O’Neil and wife Angelina, and Jessica O’Neil of Beckley.
Services to celebrate the life of Kenny will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Chapel in Beckley with Rev. Orville Setliff officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley with the American Legion Post 32 Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites.
Public visitation will be held on the same afternoon on Tuesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

LOOKOUT — Daniel Hall, 63, of Lookout, passed from this life Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill.
He was born August 4, 1949, in Mingo County, and was the son of the late Edna Thompson Hall.
He was a retired logger and strip miner, but most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and great-uncle.
Other than his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul David Hall.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Geneva Jo Anderson Hall; a daughter, Nancy Rose Hall Minter and husband Jeff of Ansted, a son, Daniel Hall Jr., of Lookout. 2 sisters, Rosemary Hall Wilson and husband Frank of Delbarton and Linda Carol Hall of Delbarton. Grandchildren, Cari Lea and Kelly Franklin Minter both of Ansted, Thomas Daniel Hall of Lookout and Carla Jane Koch of Batavia, OH, a very special great-niece, Makenley Renae Keatley of Delbarton, and a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel, Ansted, with Reverend Leroy Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Hall Family Cemetery at Lookout. Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Raymond Lewis Morgan Sr.
PINEVILLE — Raymond Lewis Morgan, Sr., 76, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, following a short illness.
Born September 7, 1936, in Wyoming County, he was the son of the late Alex and Gertrude Lambert Morgan.
Raymond enjoyed working, fishing, family gatherings, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Cook Morgan, his second wife, Iris Glea Cook Morgan, and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Ray Morgan, Jr., and wife, Teresa, of Honaker, VA, Eddie Cook and wife, Laverne, of Keyrock and Dwight Cook of Keyrock; four daughters, Sheila Morgan of Pineville, Shirley Vance and husband, Richard, of Tulsa, OK, Marie Cook of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Drema Morgan of Pineville; two sisters, Minnie Moody of Indian Creek and Anna Lee Eckard of Indian Creek; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at New Life Community Church with Pastors Jay Morgan and Garland Cook, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Morgan Family Cemetery, Fanrock. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Calfee Funeral Service of Pineville.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

MORGANTOWN — Violet Abdo Oberly, 98, formerly of Pennsylvania and Logan, died Saturday, April 27, 2013.
Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Honaker Funeral Home in Logan. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at Nighbert Memorial United Methodist Church, followed by her burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery and a luncheon at the church. Friends may also call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to Nighbert Memorial United Methodist Church.
