Gregory Kent Rose
Gregory Kent “Gregg” Rose, age 59, of Daniels, WV, passed away at the Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley following a short illness.
Born on June 11, 1953, he was the son of Howard Rose of Beaver and the late Dolly Zimmerman Rose.
Mr. Rose was a master control operator for WSWP TV. He had made his home at Daniels for the past 27 years. Mr. Rose enjoyed watching sports and living life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Connie Benfield Rose; a son, Christopher Rose and his girlfriend Savannah Lively of Shady Spring.
A stepson, Richard Brogan of Cool Ridge, two brothers, Jeff Rose of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Tracy Rose and his wife Angela of North Carolina.
Grandchildren, Elija Lively, and Bentley Rose. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate The Life Of Gregory Kent Rose on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 6 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Rev. Damon Hamby.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until service time on Tuesday.

Dempsey ‘Demp’ Walls
CLEAR FORK — Dempsey “Demp” Walls, 85, of Clear Fork, WV, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in Welch Community Hospital, Welch, WV.
He was born November 25, 1927, in Wyoming County, WV, a son of the late Phillip Sheridan and Thelma Ivy Farrell Walls.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Ruth, Naomi and Minnie Pearl, and a brother Jack.
He was a good-hearted old coal miner that loved getting up in the morning for a good cup of coffee. Then immediately getting into his car to go for a ride. He would stop and see friends and brag about his tomatoes and could then go pick a four-leaf clover. At the age of 85 he had quite a ride and everyone knew him. He loved little kids, dogs and cats. He loved Jesus and we’re sure he loves seeing him now. We love you and will see you soon, so we can go for a ride and listen to Alan Jackson.
Survivors include a brother Mickey Walls of Clear Fork; a nephew Mickey (Kathy) Sutters of San Angelo, TX; a great-niece Sarah Sutters of San Angelo, TX; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013, in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Rev. Allen Blankenship officiating. In keeping with the family’s wishes he will be cremated.
Friends may gather with the family from 5 until service time at the funeral home.

James Dennis Williams, 79, of Cranberry Drive, Beckley, passed away Feb. 9, 2013.
