Frank Belcher Jr.

Frank Belcher Jr., age 74, of Eccles, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 6, 2013.

Born on April 8, 1938, at Stephenson, he was the son of the late Frank Belcher Sr. and Juanita Grace Harmon Belcher.

Mr. Belcher was a retired coal miner, and a member of the UMWA. He was a resident of Eccles for the past 38 years, and enjoyed working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Belcher, by brothers, Jerry, Jessie, and Raymond Belcher, and by a sister, Freda Haymire.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 42 years, Paula Gillespie Belcher; two children, Telietha Smith and her husband Roger of Beckley, and Paula Pelfrey and her husband Trevor of Beckley. Brothers: Keith Belcher and his wife Nadine of Odd, and Johnny Belcher of Texas. Sisters: Patricia Lozoyo of Beckley, and Doris Acord and her husband Denver of Glen White. Three grandchildren: Brandon Smith, Brianna Pelfrey, and William Yale; three great-grandchildren, Milaya McDowell, Kelani McDowell, and Bentley McDowell, all of Beckley; and special friends, Mike Green and Nellie Barker.

Committal services will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Duane Pease and Rev. Snowden Collins officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the mausoleum.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Alice ‘Missy’ Janine Boothe

CHARMCO — Alice “Missy” Janine Boothe, 47, of Charmco, was called home to torment the angels, Wednesday, February 6, 2013, following a short illness.

She is the daughter of the late William M. Hicks and Vivian Joan Kashola Stein and her husband Bob Stein.

She loved being a surgical technician and taking care of her patients at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Ronceverte.

She loved playing her music, and her laughter was contagious, she loved unconditionally, and you always knew where you stood with her. But most of all she was a gift from God to all her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory other than her mother include her children, Amanda Boothe, Stephanie Boothe, a son Jay Boothe, and her companion, Mark Gesner. She is also survived by her companion’s children: Jason, Ben, and Josh Gesner; four sisters, Debbie Hicks Hubright and husband Dean of Newark, NY, Frankie Leigh (Shank) Taylor of Sodus, NY, Linda Mullen of TX and Lori Meeker of NC; two brothers, John Stein of NY, and John Peterson of AZ; two grandchildren, Annika Smith and Addison Boothe; and her former husband, Jeff Boothe, and his mother Goldie Boothe, and a stepfather Franklin L. Taylor.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 10, 2013, 2 p.m. Friends may gather with the family from 12:30 until service time at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
