David Lee Clark

MILTON — David Lee Clark, 61, of Milton, husband of Vicky L. Clark, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va.

He was born March 12, 1951, in Huntington, a son of the late Harry G. and Esther Bowyer Clark.

David and his wife were the owners of Vicky’s Candy Craft of Milton, and Gotta Party by Vicky’s in Beckley.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Donna Lynn Stollings and her husband Joseph of Milton, along with their children and grandchildren; one son, Douglas Lee Clark and his wife, Carolyn of Baton Rouge, La., along with their children; one brother, Gary Garfield Clark of Milton and adopted son, Kregg Adkins of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2013, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Ron Page officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.

LaFonda Jayne  Denton

LaFonda Jayne Denton, age 67 of Daniels, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, following an extended illness.

Born July 24, 1945, in Daniels, to the late LaFon Worley and Laura Akers Roach.

LaFonda enjoyed gardening and had a passion for animals.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Worley.

Those surviving include a son, Brian Denton and wife Marsha and their children, Ariel, Sarrah Jayne, and Damien of Borbonnais, Ill.; and a daughter, Lauril A. Lutz and husband Rick and their daughter Jade of Mokena, Ill.; step-father, Paul M. Roach of Beaver; an Aunt, Margaret Long of Beaver; also numerous step brothers, step sisters, and other family.

In keeping with LaFonda’s wishes she was cremated and there will be no services.
