Helen Virginia Claytor Massie

Helen Virginia Claytor Massie, 97, of Daniels, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013, at her residence.

Arrangements are pending completion at Rose and Quesenberry, 729 Flat Top Road, Shady Spring.

Charlotte H. McKay

Charlotte Louise Hancox McKay, 93,  of Greystone Drive, Beckley, died Wednesday, January 9th, 2013, at Raleigh General Hospital, following a short illness.

Brian Adam Meadows

TALCOTT — Brian Adam Meadows, 25, of Talcott, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013.

Born July 19, 1987, at Fairlea, he was a son of Beecher J. Meadows Sr. and Elizabeth M. Grubb Meadows of Talcott.

Brian was employed by Utility Pole Technicians and had attended Summers County High School. He enjoyed taking care of his horses and living life to the fullest.

Preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Sue Thompson and his paternal grandparents, Barger B. Meadows Sr. and Helen K. Meadows.

Besides his parents Brian is survived by his maternal grandparents, Norman B. Grubb Jr. of South Carolina and Earldine “Duck” Grubb of Talcott; three brothers, Beecher “B.J.” Meadows Jr. and wife Jennifer Starr, Emory B. Meadows and Jonathan L. Meadows of Talcott; one sister, Kelsey M. Meadows of Talcott and one nephew, Joshua M. Meadows of Talcott. Several uncles, aunts and cousins also survive.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013, at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Adwell Cemetery at Ronceverte.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Grover Ray Morrison

LOGAN — Grover Ray Morrison, 88, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Logan.

Friends may call on the family Friday, January 11, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Honaker Funeral Home in Logan, and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Military Graveside rites will be conducted.
