Laura Kay Hall Jarrell
Laura Kay Hall Jarrell, of Glen Daniel, a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 7, 2013, after a sorrowful battle with cancer.
Laura was born November 16, 1952 in Bee Branch, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Juanita Hall. She was also preceded in death by a son Brandon Claypool, step-daughter, Chrissy Jarrell.
She is survived by her husband, James Randy Jarrell; two daughters, Kimberly Lester of Beckley, Erica Claypool, also of Beckley and a son, Michael Claypool; other survivors include a step-daughter, Angela Jarrell, eight sisters, and one brother; two grandsons, Jordan, who made his home with Kay and Randy and Jagger Claypool and a granddaughter, Jaden Claypool; stepgrandchildren Kyrsten, Spencer, Brian, Brianna; also a dear life long friend, Cathy Thompson.
Anyone who knew Kay could say she loved to laugh. She liked dancing, music, and shopping but most of all she enjoyed spoiling her grandchilden. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the Nurses, Staff, and Doctors at the Bowers Hospice House.
Laura’s request was for cremation only. A memorial service held 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon, January 11, 2013, at the Freewill Baptist Church, Dameron, with Pastor Bob Meadows and Pastor TJ Salngo officiating.
