Angela Louise Hunt Bryson
Angela Louise Hunt Bryson, 48, of Tolleytown, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013. Born September 29, 1964, in Beckley, she was the daughter of Harry Eugene and Bessie Gray Hunt of Tolleytown. Angela was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.
In addition to her parents she is survived by daughters, Jerica Adkins and husband Anthony of SC, Tasha Davis and husband Dustin and Larkrista Bryson of Tolleytown; granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Davis of Tolleytown; sisters, Kimberly Hunt, Veronica Hunt and boyfriend Timmy, Elizabeth Hunt, Crystal Davis and husband Paul Michael, Shamekia Hunt; brothers, Jeffrey Hunt and Joseph Hunt; nieces and nephews, Toni, Trinity, Emily and Michael.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013, in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Birchfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Family Cemetery at Tolleytown. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Hunt, Jeffrey Hunt, Paul Michael Davis, Dustin Davis, Timmy Torrence, Wayne Turner and Steve Gray.

Jack Scragg Guy
MAPLE FORK — Jack Scragg Guy, 80, of Maple Fork, a born again Christian, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2013.
Born August 22, 1932, at Glen Rogers to the late Benjamin M. Guy, Jr., and the late Dorothy McCrobie Stover Guy. Jack was also preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin M. Guy, III.
Jack was a 1951 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, served our country proudly in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He was an aircraft and engine mechanic. He was a Korean Conflict Veteran and proud member of the WV Army National Guard for 23 years. He graduated from the Raleigh County Vocational School Nursing Program, Morris Harvey College, as well as an additional year of graduate studies. He worked for Piedmont Airlines and as an LPN at BARH. He was instrumental in assisting Jackie Withrow with the startup of the FMRS Health program in the late 1960s. He retired from the VAMC as a drug and alcohol counselor. He attended the United Methodist Temple.
He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans. During his lifetime he enjoyed varied interests including HAM Radio. Jack was an avid reader, history buff, and firearms expert. He was truly a “Jack” of all trades.
His family dearly loved him and depended on him for advice and knowledge. Jack appreciated the friendship, care, and love provided by his stepdaughter, Mary McClanahan, sister-in-law, Virginia Stover, and Sandy Harper from the VAMC who nourished him back to health time and time again.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Cinda Stover Guy; brother, Richard L. Guy; sons, Kim and wife, Donna, Eric and Matthew Guy; daughter, Minda Belden and husband, Silas, stepdaughters he helped rear since the ages of 2 and 5 and considered his own, Becky Spann and husband, Aaron, and Mary McClanahan and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Katie Molloy, Jackie Cline, Amanda Guy, Christopher Guy- Belden, Savannah, Megan, and Emelia Belden; stepgrandchildren he also considered his own, Austin and Amber Spann and Lauryn and Caleb McClanahan; great-granddaughter, Raelyn Cline; and his beloved dog, Obie.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Pastor Chuck Pullin officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from noon until time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
