Maria I. Mateo Ballard

LEWISBURG — Maria I. Mateo Ballard, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012, at her home in Lewisburg, following a sudden illness.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.  For personal reasons, Mr. Ballard will not be receiving visitors at his residence.

Elizabeth Ann Biars

HINTON — Elizabeth Ann Biars, 69, of 495 Stokes Drive, Hinton, died Sunday Dec. 23, 2012, at Summers County A.R.H. following a sudden illness.

Arrangements are pending completion at Pivont Funeral Home, Hinton, WV.

 



Rose Mary Cappellari

HARTSVILLE, SC — Rose Mary Cappellari, 92, died Dec. 23, 2012, at home. Funeral services will be held Friday, December, 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Westview Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum and reception will be held in Fellowship Hall at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is serving the family.

She was born Oct. 25, 1920, daughter of Adelaide and Albino Benvenuto. She graduated from W.Va. University in 1942 with a degree in Business Administration. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Amerigo; sister, Anita; brother, Alfred Benvenuto; grandson, Mark Spica. Surviving are her by six children, Aurelia Smith (Richard) Mary Margaret Spica, Richard Cappellari (Alana) Anita Deen (Fred), Dr. Charles Cappellari (Frankie), David Cappellari (Cindy); 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. She moved to Hartsville in 2001 with her daughter, Aurelia Smith. Rose Mary’s philanthropic works were received by many throughout her lifetime. She will be greatly missed by her beloved caregiver, Tessie, and devoted friend, Margaret. A special thanks to Rae Woods and the Hospice Team of South Carolina and the many friends and neighbors who showed her their love and support.
