Barbara Mary Frances Ball

RONCEVERTE — Barbara Mary Frances Ball, 63, of Ronceverte, passed away April 22, 2014.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ronceverte, with Pastor Youel Altizer officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ronceverte.

Robert L. Bennett

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Robert L. Bennett, 86, of 1401 Augusta Street Bluefield, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at a Bluefield hospital.

Bob was born June 18, 1927, in Bluefield, W.Va., a son of the late Ernest O. Bennett and Josephine Marushia Bennett.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of First Christian Church of Bluefield. Bob graduated from Beaver High School, Class of 1946, and attended Bluefield College and Concord College. He was an insurance adjuster with State Auto Insurance, Beckley, for 28 years, retiring in 1989, was a 50 year member of Bluefield-Mercer Lodge No. 85 A.F. & A.M., The Scottish Rite Bodies and Beni Kedem Shrine, Bluefield Shrine Patrol and was also a member of Bluefield Elks Lodge No. 269. Bob was an avid golfer, an animal lover and enjoyed sport shooting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Harry Lee Bennett.

Bob is survived by a sister Betty Basham of Bluefield, W.Va., nephews Douglas Clendenin and his wife Sylvia of Bluefield, W.Va., Jim Bennett and his wife Kathy of Princeton, W.Va., nieces Jo Ann Hammon and her husband Carl of Hurricane, W.Va. and Becky Stone and her husband Charles of Augusta, Ga. and a great niece Lori Beth Clendenin of Bluefield, W.Va.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2014, at the Mausoleum of Monte Vista Park Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Rev. Douglas McDaniel Jr. officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Bluefield Mercer Lodge No. 85 A.F. & A.M. will conduct the Masonic Graveside Rites.
