LAMAR, S.C. — Darrel Edward McClung Sr., 74, of Lamar, S.C., formerly of Mount Lookout, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013.

Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20, in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery at Mount Lookout with Pastor Mark Secrist officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.

Harold Dean Peyton

HURRICANE — Harold Dean Peyton, 71, of Hurricane, died Sunday, June 16, 2013.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood, with Pastor Jason Page of Grace Wesleyan Methodist Church, Culloden, officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, in the funeral home.

All arrangements were made by Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood.

Athalee Gail Prince

Athalee Gail Prince, 52, of Beckley died Friday, June 14, 2013.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the Second Baptist Church, 700 F St., Beckley.

Emma Lou Simms

MAN — Emma Lou Simms, of Man, died Friday, June 15, 2013.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at Bruno Church of God, with the Rev. Roger Frye officiating. Burial will be in Hatfield Cemetery, Sharon Heights, Hampden. Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. with special services at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the church.

Anthony L. Sloan

QUINWOOD — Anthony L. Sloan, 63, of Quinwood, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Virginia, following a long illness.

Born March 8, 1950, at Richwood, West Virginia, he was the son of Henry H. Sloan of Quinwood, West Virginia, and the late Kathleen Retha Hughart Sloan.

Anthony was a disabled coal miner, and a member of the Rainelle Moose Lodge.

Survivors include a daughter: Monica Sloan of Anderson, SC; a son: Mark Sloan of Anderson, S.C.; father: Henry H. Sloan of Quinwood, WV; brother: Audie Sloan of Leslie, WV; 6 grandchildren: Jacob Swizdaryk, Nicholas Swizdaryk, Kimlyn Swizdaryk, Toni Leigh Sloan, Sydney Sloan, and Desmond Sloan; 2 nephews: Shane and A.J. Sloan; 1 niece: Amber Cannady; Ex-wife: Maria Richmond Terezakis.

There will be a memorial gathering of friends and family on Wednesday evening, June 19, 2013, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle, from 6 to 8 p.m. The body is being cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to your favorite charity.

Mildred ‘Midge’ Woolwine

Mildred “Midge” Woolwine, 84, of Midway, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013.

Arrangements are pending completion at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 S. Kanawha St., Beckley.
