2nd Timothy 4:7 — “I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” And so, our most cherished Kenny Henry of Rustic Hills, Crab Orchard, finished his race on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Raleigh General Hospital following a courageous battle with colon cancer. He was 60 years of age.
Known affectionately as Kenny all his life, Kenneth Richard Henry was born on Jan. 2, 1952, at Camp Lejeune, N.C. The first of four children, his parents are Anna Belle Harrison Henry of Dunbar and the late Harry Lee Henry. Kenny was a beloved son.

Kenny immensely enjoyed his job and loved his employees. He will be remembered for his high work ethic. When he had time, Kenny enjoyed golfing and going to the dog tracks with his best friend, Dennis Miller.
In the 1970s friends would introduce Kenny to a pretty Charleston girl, Marilee Johnson. Kenny and Marilee would marry on Aug. 19, 1977. To this union was born their two daughters, Krista Michelle and Jessica Renee.
The family has made their home at Rustic Hills for the past 20 years. They all share a love for animals, and have saved many through “animal rescue.” Kenny and Marilee were a great team. Marilee was holding Kenny’s hand when he passed away, “Oh Love That Will Not Let Me Go.”
In addition to his mother, Anna, Marilee and the girls, Kenny leaves to cherish his memory, twin sisters, Beverly Sue Atkins and her husband, Rick of Sevierville, Tenn. and Anna Lou Hodges and her husband, Randy of Charleston, and his brother, Greg Henry of Powder Springs, Ga.; five nephews survive as well as the Johnson family, Carolee Higginbotham and her husband, Jimmy of Charleston and John Johnson and his wife, Carolyn of Ocala, Fla.; along with several nieces and nephews; and Kenny’s Kroger family.
